The Giants, who until this game were red-hot (having won seven straight), looked absolutely terrible during the first two quarters, save for Justin Tuck’s blocked field goal that Kevin Dockery returned for a touchdown to end the half.

Beyond that spark of life, the Giants were frequently penalized; Burress’s replacement, Domenik Hixond dropped an almost sure touchdown on a bomb from Eli Manning; and the New York offense didn’t put any points on the board until the final couple minutes of the game. Suspending Burress was the right move for the Giants to make–but one must wonder if they are now second-guessing that decision.
