NFL Week 16 Thursday & Saturday FootballThursday, December 24, 2015 13:00
Pick and analysis for the NFL Week 16 Thursday & Saturday games.
NFL WEEK SIXTEEN THURSDAY & SATURDAY
San Diego Chargers (4-10) @ Oakland Raiders(6-8) -5.5 46.5 [O]
The Bolts played their last game in San Diego last week—if we believe the media, which is a dicey proposition. 2015 could also be the last year for Mike McCoy.
I don’t know the man; wouldn’t wish losing a job on anyone, but in his 2+ years as the Electricians head man McCoy is two games under .500…And his team looks putrid on defense, can’ run the ball, and is absolute proof, an elite “franchise quarterback” is not the most important part of a football team.
Give Manning, Brady, Rogers, and Roethlisberger all their due, but, their brain-trusts know without competent to above average line play and an effective running game Jesus couldn’t take the Apostles to a Super Bowl.
Stuck in NFL team-less L.A. I watch many more Chargers games than I want–even with Sunday ticket—it is painfully clear Phillip Rivers, who could be better than his more successful draft classmates, Big Ben and Eli, is wasting his time in San Diego.
It’s a fairly shallow analysis; I usually expect more from Bleacher Report, but Rivers has never worked under management with a plan how to build a football team, not just find a QB.
Jack Del Rio and Reggie McKenzie seem to be implementing such a plan in Oakland. Del Rio has brought his trademark toughness, attitude, and focus to Da Raidas, who will be a force in 2016.
They should handle the Chargers giving the three points over the number.
Raiders 24 Chargers 20
Philadelphia Eagles (6-8) @ Washington Native Americans (7-7) 48[U]
The Nates have a real shot to win an awfully awful NFC East.
So do the Giants and Eagles.
The Cowboys are eliminated. Which is the best thing we can say about the worst division in football
Native Americans 33 Eagles 25
