NFL 2014 Week 14 Thursday Night Pick & Analysis – FootballThursday, December 4, 2014 14:00
Picks and analysis for the Thursday night game of Week 14 of the 2014 NFL season.
NFL THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – WEEK 14
DALLAS COWBOYS @ CHICAGO BEARS – 4 51.5
Dallas wins about 65% of the Thanksgiving games they host every year. The Eagles were an East Coast team traveling across country having virtually no quality practice time.
Best Lock of the Week in 2014 and the ‘Boys spit choke and puke against Philly and lose by 23 points.
That tells me the Dallas defense is tiring and in the last month has been performing no better than a Bear defense mired in a mucky transition.
I’m not sure Chicago head coach, Marc Trestman gives a damn about his defense—probably because his vaunted expertise hasn’t been as evident as it should be in his second year, with the skill position player in Navy an Orange…
Tony Romo’s back worries me. He has a history as one tough QB; he’s played with bad knees, sore shoulders and bruised ribs. I guarantee if you look at the three games following any of Romo’s major injuries, his performances are well below those played when he is healthy.
If the Cowboys don‘t give DeMarco Murray the ball thirty times, they are stupid. Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett can’t put the Cowboy’s fortunes on Romo’s back—it might break.
Then again, the Bears are a respectable tenth best rushing defense.
I’m looking for the Bears to give Dallas a heavy dose of Matt Forte and Dallas’ Cover Two isn’t equipped to stop the bears big receivers.
Take the Bears in a nail-biter—barely under the number.
Cowboys 27 Bears 24
