NFL 2014 Week 11 Thursday Night Pick & Analysis – FootballThursday, November 13, 2014 15:00
Picks and analysis for the Thursday night game of Week 11 of the 2014 NFL season.
NFL THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – WEEK 11
Really struggled picking this game.
The Bills seem to be on more of an upward trajectory than the Friendly Fish with the growing rapport between Kyle Orton and rookie Sammy Watkins helping the offense achieve more consistency.
You know the Bills defensive line is sick good when most of the jock-jaws are talking about Mario Williams not as their most effective sacker, but as their premier run stopper.
Even with Fred Jackson’s groin keeping him sidelined the Bills have good enough blocking to run on the stingy Dolphin defense.
It won’t be easy. Matt Stafford had to perform a last second miracle to beat the Dolphins last week. Both defensive units in this game are in the NFL’s top six. They’re dead even in return yardage, turnover differential, and damn near every other statistical category.
Ryan Tannehill is coming into his own; not afraid to use his feet and much more careful with the ball. The game has slowed down significantly for the former Texas A &M Aggie, and his receivers are starting to trust him.
Both coaching staffs, each overcoming growing pains in the last two years, have been impressive in turning around two franchises who have sniffed the post season very little in the last fifteen years.
Funny, after reviewing all the stats, trends, histories, and intangibles, we’d be very surprise if this turned out to be anything but a field goal game for the home team.
Too bad the Miami is giving -5.
I’m taking the Bills and the more experienced Orton to cover that spread; the under is the Total play in this baby.
Dolphins 20 Bills 17
