Super Bowl betting.

Betting on who will win this season’s Super Bowl

Although American football does not have the same level of worldwide following as soccer, the one time when interest in this sport – both in terms of watching and of betting on the outcomes – really increases is during the Super Bowl. There is no question that this is the big one when it comes to American football and the increase in interest that it creates leads other gambling sectors to produce spin-offs to capitalize on it.

There are plenty of examples of this, both good and bad, but one of the more notable good ones is the American football themed games that are offered by the online casinos. Playing at online casinos rivals sports betting for popularity, and thus the best sports games offered by these sites – some even American football themed – have a ready-made audience. In the case of the themed games the interest amongst casino gamers is likely to be strongest during Super Bowl season when many will also be betting on who will win that tournament, but it might still be worth having a look in Lucky Nugget online slots between games to see if there’s anything else that might catch your eye.

This year’s Super Bowl is rated as being exceptionally close by many of the sports betting sites – and thus exceptionally difficult to pick the winner of. The clearly established favourites for the tournament appear to be the San Francisco 49ers and the Houston Texans, but a side ranked just outside this – like the New England Patriots – could represent a pretty strong alternative bet for those who want a bit better odds to play with.

Given that many outside of the U.S. do not really follow American football to any great extent makes it all the more important that anyone considering betting on the winner of this season’s Super Bowl, because to make an informed bet you need to know about the strengths and weaknesses of the teams, and their form.
