2012 NFL Week 2 Thursday Night Pick – FootballThursday, September 13, 2012 9:30
Thursday night game pick and analysis for the 2012 NFL season Week 2.
NFL Week 2
Thursday Night Pick
Game of the Week 0 – 1
Big Blue really blew it last week as the Cowboys finally played up to their own hype of the last 15 years. Too bad, Jerry Jones doesn’t know the value of just shutting up.
He was gloating how big of a win it was…same ol’, same ol’…What a clown. It’s one game of a very long season. Good win, learn from it–and SHUT UP!
Our second GOW features the longest most storied rivals in the sport: the Packers vs Da Bears and we’re all over the Furry Ones.
Green Bay has been winning and going to the playoffs, and they’re just a year removed from hoisting a Lombardi Trophy.
This is going to be the year Green Bay pays the piper for being so off balance. They don’t have a running game and, if Aaron Rodgers isn’t on the screws, the Pack can look mighty ordinary.
Meanwhile, Chicago seems to be rounding out now that they have the Matt Forte situation settled. Jay Cutler has some weapons, but his line is still a liability. Just like Todd Haley in Pittsburgh, the Bears’ new offensive coordinator, Mike Tice, is trying to get Cutler to take shorter drops and release the ball quicker, and Cutler looked good against the Horseshoes.
We know the Pack plays great when the spotlight is on, and they don’t lose two in a row at Lambeau, but sometimes you gotta play your instincts.
Take the 5.5…and the Bears…
