I have to admit, I’m rather disappointed that Citi Field won’t be renamed Citi/Taxpayer Field, as a couple of New York politicians suggested in the wake of Citigroup’s $20 billion bailout by the federal government.  The proposed alternative actually has a sort of ring to it.  Considering how many miserable stadium/arena names have resulted from corporate sponsorship, why not?
